Hogeweidebridge

The Hogeweide Bridge has with the required temporary steel a
weight of about 3000 tons. During a weekend the bridge was
floated to its final position. This 24 hour operation was the
culmination of 2 years of work. The bridge was fabricated and
assembled in Eeklo and Gent and brought to site by water in
pieces weighing up to 700 tons for final assembly on site. The
Hogeweide Bridge lies between the Prins Claus Bridge and the
Demka Bridge, both also built by Victor Buyck.
