Bridge across the Rhine

Together with our partners, Victor Buyck was selected for the design and build of this impressive project. The Strasbourg tramway line D extension to the city of Kehl in Germany is reducing traffic and improving comfort and safety. The project includes 2 central bowstrings with double arches of 20m high. Each orthotropic deck is 130m long. The width of 17m connects Germany and France with two tramlines and 4.5 m for eco-traffic. The steel bridge deck was entirely manufactured in the workshop and then transported to the site by waterway.
